Job Title: Senior Information Technology Helpdesk Assistant

Role: IT Assistant

Duration: 10 Hours per week

Salary / Package: 30

Basic salary range: 30 QR/Hour

Job description:

•    Assist in technology troubleshooting
•    Manage computer hardware deployment
•    Coordinate software installation for students, faculty and staff
•    Assist faculty/staff with using technology within audio/video spaces
•    Provide administrative coverage for IT department in form of phone duty and relaying information/messages between callers and IT staff
•    Train and mentor other student assistants
•    Develop documentation for troubleshooting and other business processes

Qualifications required:

•    Previous experience working in an IT Support role
•    Able to demonstrate Information Technology technical skills
•    Capable of coaching students, staff and faculty through computer software and programming instructions
•    Exhibit expert knowledge of Windows and Mac OS
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Adept at following written instructions
•    Ability to professionally interact with guests, co-workers and supervisors
•    Able to meet physical demands: Must be able to lift 5-15 kilograms
•    Minimum 3.0 GPA
