The Exhibition and Content Research Assistant will work with the gallery/museum staff undertaking specific research into aspects of media, communication and journalism that align with the ongoing creation of exhibitions. Research will involve libraries and museums, online databases, film and moving image archives, and other primary sources. Research is aimed at directly contributing to exhibition concept creation, and ongoing exhibition development for the forthcoming gallery/museum in the new NU-Q building.
Qualifications required:
Candidates should have a background in journalism or communication, and/or in museums and exhibition creation. Candidates should be highly organized with good time management, ability to meet deadlines, punctual, and understand confidentiality. Fluency in Arabic is highly desirable.
Additionally, candidates should have a genuine interest in researching and exploring aspects of media, communication and journalism which they may be less familiar with, learning about exhibition creation, and developing concepts for future exhibitions.
