Job description:

The Art Programs Graduate Assistant will report to the Event Coordinator, Student Center for Operation. Specific emphasis will be paid to theater and cinema programs. They will be involved in aspects of Arts Programs with the Department of Student Life and for the HBKU Student Center. The position will be expected to have general knowledge of the Student Center’s facilities, services, rules and regulations. Furthermore, the Art Programs Graduate Assistant will be required to collaborate and coordinate with Student Center staff including the Assistant Director, Student Center for Student Engagement, Events Management Coordinator, other Student Life and Student Engagement Staff, student employees including Student Building Managers, Information Desk Staff, security, cleaning and other facilities management contacts when necessary in ensuring the successful oversight of the programs in the Blackbox Theater, Cinema and the Art Gallery.

Qualifications required:

· Graduate Student within an HBKU or partner campus · Preference given to candidate in the arts or events experience	· Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts · Attention to detail and willingness to take leadership in the development of the art gallery · Strong interest in the arts
· Strong problem-solving skills · Strong leadership experience and skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Ability to work in a team environment · Positive attitude
