Job description:

This internship is an ideal opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students of Universities within Education City to assist in a UCL Qatar PhD research project and to practice the application of qualitative research methods within the local cultural sector. Within this internship, the intern will also learn more about Qatar’s museum sector and related consultancies and allow her/him to network with key persons.

As this job does not require any data analysis, the duties will be limited to:

§ Conducting of up to 10 pre-arranged interviews and 1-2 focus group(s), using existing interview and focus group guides.

§ Audio recording, asking questions and taking notes.

§ Saving the interview recordings securely (a secure location will be provided).

§ Transcribing interview recordings.

 

Qualifications required:

 

§ Good knowledge of qualitative research methods (interviews and focus groups)

§ Proficient English language skills.

§ (Arabic language skills are an advantage, but not a requirement).

§ Good communication and organisation skills.

§ Adhering to research ethics and data protection regulations.
