Job description:

 

Time Commitment: 2 hours a week for meetings, 1 hours a week for other duties (email, programming etc.)

• Attend weekly general board meetings.
• Assume the duties of the President in case of absence or vacancy.
• Represent your village community in voting affairs, discussions, campus and community outreach, and overall, improvements for residents in student housing.
• Organize and/or support community engagement activities .
• Coordinate social events each semester.
• Act as a resource to other members in planning programs.
• Assess community needs for programming resources including the acquisition of new materials.
• Manage council inventory including oversight of lending materials to and from other communities.
• Attend RSG Leadership Retreat.
• Complete other duties assigned by the executive board and/or the advisor(s).

• Organize and/or support at least three all-campus program during the course of his/her term
• Coordinate at least one RSG council social event per quarter
• Act as a resource to council members in planning campus program
• Coordinate the check-out of RSG programming items
• Abide by and enforce this constitution

Qualifications required:

Officers shall be residents in Student Housing and Residence Life and reside in student housing for the duration of their term.

Beginning in Fall 2020, the President, Chair Person of Janoubi and Chair Person of Shamali must have been an active member of the RSG for at least two consecutive semesters (counting the current term) prior to their elected terms.

All officers must have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 at time of election and maintain that during their term. The RSG Advisors will conduct quarterly GPA checks for those in office. Officers with a cumulative GPA of less than 2.50 shall receive official notification by an advisor of probationary standing. This probationary period shall last for one previously agreed upon academic quarter. In the event that the cumulative GPA remains below 2.50, then the officer will be deemed ineligible to continue holding their elected position. At this time, the RSG Election Code will take effect.
